Hallo Leute!
Vor genau 2 Wochen habe ich eine tote Hornisse gefunden und sie natürlich sofort nach Hause mitgenommen, um sie zu fotografieren!
Das Wetter hat an dem Tag zum Glück auch mitgespielt, so dass ihr Körper sehr gut erhalten war. Ich habe das Insekt für die Fotos auf einem, mit Tau benetzten Tulpenblatt drapiert und wie ihr am Namen des Beitrags erkennen könnt, werden weitere Fotos folgen!
Habt ihr schon Pläne für den Tanz in den Mai? Ich werde ihn eher nicht feiern, da ich dieses Wochenende ja auf der Dokomi meine Workshops gebe.

Nice set of macros! Dance in May? What are you celebrating? Cinco de Mayo is big here because we are next door to Mexico. In Madrid, Spain we used to celebrate Dos de Mayo.

Thanks! Well it’s an old German tradition and it’s name is also Walpurgisnacht. There are myths that witches used to celebrate this day on the hill „Brocken“ , thus the tradition came up to celebrate this day with a big fire which should burn the witches and hunt away every evil force. The fire tradition has become less popular in the last years, most people just go out and celebrate this days in bars and so on, without even knowing why they celebrate the 1th of may!

Cinco de Mayo is like Mexican Independence Day, and Dos De Mayo 1808 is when they Spaniards drove Napoleon’s forces out of Madrid. The French troops returned and repressed the Spaniards and the peninsular wars began after that. Goya made paintings of the events of Dos de Mayo.

Diese Makros gefallen mir immer wieder. Gerade weil die Kamera vielleicht nicht dafür gedacht ist, entstehen eigenartig verträumte Bilder.

Ich mag es auch ganz gerne, dass immer ein paar unscharfe Elemente in den Bildern mit enthalten sind, das macht die Fotos weniger dokumentarisch. 🙂 Und danke!
